Central to the Urus driving experience is the Tamburo, the aviation-inspired rotary control mounted on the centre console. Italian for “drum”, the Tamburo allows the driver to select drive modes with a tactile, mechanical action reminiscent of aircraft controls. Urus Performante

The Performante represents the most extreme road-going Urus. Extensive weight reduction through carbon fibre components, revised aerodynamics, and a lower, stiffer suspension setup transform its driving dynamics.

Its credentials were cemented at Pikes Peak, where the Urus Performante set a production SUV record with a time of 10:32.064, beating the previous record by nearly 18 seconds. This achievement underscored Lamborghini’s claim that the Urus is engineered first and foremost as a performance car.

Urus SE

The Urus SE marks a defining moment for Lamborghini as its first plug-in hybrid SUV. Combining a twin-turbo V8 with an electric motor, it produces a combined output of 800 CV, approximately 789 horsepower.

Despite its hybrid architecture, the Urus SE is faster than the original model, accelerating from 0-62 mph in just 3.4 seconds. It also introduces electric-only driving capability for urban environments, demonstrating how electrification can enhance performance rather than diminish it.
